Damp Proofer
We’re looking for an experienced Damp proofing technician/damp proof plasterer, to join our team for an immediate start. This job will suit someone with their own workload but is looking to branch out or is looking for a bit of extra work.
This job will sometimes include generally preparing the jobs before carrying out remedial treatments, this will include but is not limited to, removing boxing, skirting boards, radiators & plug sockets, etc. This will not be every job but the ideal candidate will be able to skilfully carry this out where applicable.
If you have no previous damp proofing experience, training can be given.
We’re looking for someone that is able to carry out damp proofing and associated works such as:
-Skilfully hacking wall plaster.
-Knowledge and experience drilling and injecting chemical barrier cream damp proofing treatments.
-knowledgeable and skilled in damp proofing plaster / render ratios.
-Basic knowledge of damp proofing chemicals.
-Knowledge and skills in carrying out physical damp proofing membrane systems.
-Structural cavity wall membrane systems including sumps and pumps etc.
-Knowledge in Woodworm / Timber preservation treatments.
TRAINING CAN/WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE IDEAL ENTHUSIASTIC CANDIDATE.
The ideal candidate will:
-Pride themselves on their communication skills and attention to detail.
-Have good written and verbal English skills.
-Ensure all paperwork and materials are collected before the works are due to begin.
-Ensure the worksite is kept in a tidy state and clean to the best of your abilities.
-Carry out works with reasonable care and skill.
-Ensure works are carried out to schedule.
-Effectively communicate any issues/delays.
Must-haves:
-Experience within the construction industry.
-A valid UK driver’s license.
-Your own vehicle. (A van can be provided for the ideal candidate once a probation period is complete).
-Must live within a reasonable distance of our office in CR0
Part Time
Labourer
We’re looking for A General Labourer / Handyperson, to join our team for an immediate start. This job will suit someone with their own workload but is looking to branch out or is looking for a bit of extra work.
This job will sometimes include generally preparing the jobs before carrying out remedial treatments, this will include but is not limited to, removing boxing, skirting boards, radiators & plug sockets, etc. This will not be every job but the ideal candidate will be able to skillfully carry this out where applicable.
We’re looking for someone that is able to carry out general laboring and maintenance such as:
-Assisting other technicians in ensuring the jobs are completed well and within the time frames.
-Keen to learn how to carry out basic aspects of damp proofing such as mass drilling and injecting.
-Able to lift/knock-up, and carry bags of sand/cement.
-Able to use their own initiative as well as follow directions from other site technicians.
-Keep the workspace clean and tidy.
-Apply protection to the workspace skillfully & sensibly.
